I ran into this bug /usr/sbin/mysqd: Error writing file ‘/var/lib/mysql/hostname.pid` (Errcode: 28) Can’t start server: can’t create PID file: No space left on device

As reported here, http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=16264 To fix delete all of the access_logs in var/log/httpd grrr….. that was annoying.
