I went to go compile ultravnc the other day but got fatal error RC1015: cannot open include file ‘afxres.h’ express 2008

After a bit of searching this post http://jayakrishnan.livejournal.com/3521.html

mentioned replacing afxres.h with windows.h

And then adding the

#ifndef IDC_STATIC
#define IDC_STATIC (-1)
#endif

and now i can compile yahoo!

Honey Bunches of Oats Fried Chicken

In my never ending desire to try crazy recipes  ( and see how much I can scare my spouse ) I gave this one a spin!

Actually it tasted pretty good. Heidi described it as ‘hmm tastes like donut chicken’

Possible EqualLogic speed up for Vista\Server 2008 iscsi

From here http://www.veeam.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4093

It depends and differs from system to system. what you need to know is that microsoft (i guess since vista and server 2008) adjusts the tcp window scaling dynamically with tcp autotuning feature. where this is mostly a good one it can become a bad one on some systems. ive explicitly seen very bad experience with especially high-performance access and rdp access. to get rid of this autotuning feature you have to manually disable it:

netsh, interface, tcp, set global autotuninglevel=disable

I haven’t tried this yet, so let me know if you try it!

Outlook trick of the day cntrl+V

So I went to send someone a link today, and usually I hit cntrl + n which will open a new message and then I hit cntrl + v to paste in the link. Today I accidentally hit cntrl + v first and it opened up a new message and pasted in the link. I’m sure there are a lot of people that know this but hey for those who don’t I saved you like 5 seconds a paste 🙂 Oh, and it works on files as well.
