#Testlio day 1

I have seen a fair amount of testlio ads of the book of face of late, so thought I would check it out.

You sign up and then they let you choose when you want to try a ‘test cycle’

I started my fist test cycle, you are immediately blasted with quite a lot of information to sift through.

The fist thing I found amusing was the testlio app actually crashed on me 🙂 where do I file that bug! he he but it is a very interesting platform, it will be fun to play around with it.

Add text to PRTG map

This is a little unintuitive

Found from this post

drop a Custom HTML Element on your map

while the element is still marked, look at the top right of the map editor where you can see the properties of the element

Top: Left: Width: Height: Layer: HTML:

use the little arrow at left to HTML

now enter your text in the HTML Before field and save.

now you should see the text in the Custom HTML Element on your map.

<font size=”8″>This is some text!</font>

if you want it to be bold

<b><font size=”8″>This is some text!</font></b>

#m-files simple suggestion

How about allowing multi-line sql select statements on the ‘connection to external database’ It’s kindof a pain to smash it all on to one line 🙂

Visual Studio 2017 – Xamarin – The file “obj\Debug\android\bin\packaged_resources” does not exist

I had this same problem

First set build output verbosity using

BTW, I managed to find what’s the problem by setting build output verbosity to Diagnostic in Tools -> Options -> Projects and Solutions -> Build and Run which gives a detailed info why the build failed in the Output window.

Then do a search.

In my case I had

Resources\layout\Main.axml(2): error APT0000: Integer types not allowed (at ‘textSize’ with value ’90’). (TaskId:176)

CRAP! I need to change it to 90sp   (Of course)

grr that wasted too much time.

Ruckus AP’s going offline for a few hours each night, solution

This appears to be an old issue. But was really throwing us for fits.

Basically bad Intel Nics + IPV6 + Hibernation = Crap tons of traffic that swamp the poor ruckus AP’s

Parameters ignored when passed to Crystal Reports .net

This is a crazy, crazy annoying bug. Basically, when the Crystal Windows Form Viewer is added, the auto-generated code adds two lines that will overwrite the selection formula!!!

Answer came from

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

Expand Form1.vb|cs to show Form1.Designer.vb|cs. (form1 denotes the form that contains your viewer)

Double-click on Form1.Designer.vb|cs to show its code.

In the InitializeComponent method, you will find code where the CrystalReportViewer1 properties are set.

Comment out or delete the following two lines:

me.crystalReportViewer.SelectionFormula = ""

me.crystalReportViewer.ViewTimeSelectionFormula = ""
